Episode 1 (新宿上空の天狗と天使, Shinjuku Jōkū no Tengu to Tenshi) is the 1st episode of the series Mayonaka no Occult Koumuin.
Summary[]
Miyako Arata enters the office of Nocturnal Community Relations Division, not knowing what awaits him isn't your usual civil office work but a midnight work outside the Shinjuku Imperial Garden overseeing angels, tengu and imaginary beings known as "Anothers."

Anime and Manga Differences[]
There were short interactions within the story and some scenes were changed.
- The pixie in manga didn't get angry when getting prayed of Ibn Ghazi
- Arata has more expressions in the anime than in the manga.
- Kyoichi's weapon isn't a collapsible baton but uses a Malas to ward off anothers.
- The fight didn't occur in the public place like in the anime but inside the gardens in the manga.
- The angel Folciel should be the one to ask for Arata's name in the manga not Torabou as shown in the anime.
- The Elder Tengu was supposed to talk longer with Arata before he passed out.
